Daniel Palacios

Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Mathematics from the University of Houston and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Quantitative & Computational Biosciences at Baylor College of Medicine. He possesses extensive experience in computational research spanning various interdisciplinary fields, including biophysics, high-energy physics, condensed matter physics, machine learning, natural language processing, bioinformatics, and space microbiology. His primary interest lies in the development of foundational AI models for clinical informatics. Daniel also engages in collaborative work with NASA, where he focuses on simulating microbes’ behavior under space radiation, aiming to mitigate health risks for future long-term space missions such as Mars and Moon habitation.
