Thanos holds a B.S. in Physics from the University of Crete, Greece, and a Ph.D. in Computational Quantum Chemistry from Rice University, under the supervision of Gustavo Scuseria. His doctoral thesis focused on cluster-based methods for strongly-correlated systems. Currently, he is exploring the application of Large Language Models (LLM) for genomic sequence modeling.
